While RoVer was parked in between trips, we had a crazy wind and rainstorm in Rochester, so it was good to see that our vent covers did their job and kept the rain out even though the vents were open! Loading up for these weekly trips has been pretty...
During our downtime between trips, there was a nice cool day and Mark decided to tackle a project – installing a roof vent on RoVer. There are three roof vents in the RV (living room, bedroom, bathroom) that we can open for fresh air (plus, of course, several windows...
Thursday morning, we headed to nearby Buttermilk Falls State Park (literally 10 minutes away). I thought these would be different and buttermilk would be flowing instead of water…but alas, it’s just named for the creek that creates the falls. With the choice of a rim trail or a gorge...
The weather on Tuesday afternoon turned out a bit better than expected, so we headed into Ithaca to find a couple other waterfalls. First, we went to aptly-named Ithaca Falls. Unbelievably beautiful…massive falls, both tall and wide, and LOTS of water – surprising given that we’ve had a relatively...
We left yesterday morning for our first of three state park trips this month, to Robert Treman State Park in Ithaca, NY. This trip is different from our previous trips in a couple of ways… It’s so close to home (about two hours), we decided to drive both the...
It’s been a quiet couple of weeks while RoVer was at the dealer for repairs. We picked her up this past Tuesday and so far, so good! The 45-minute drive back from the dealer was uneventful, and the touchscreen is still fully attached to the dash, where it belongs!...
We had a wonderful weekend in Chicago visiting family. RoVer served as sleeping quarters for Mark and Connor – in the parking lot of my Aunt’s apartment complex (with permission from management, of course!). They were ‘boondocking’, which is basically staying in the RV while it’s not connected to...
Our trip on Wednesday was uneventful and smooth…just like it should be! Beautiful day to travel – dry, clear, with comfortable temperatures! We generally try to get gas when the tank is about half full (mostly because the price tag is a little less frightening), and we did the...
We are getting ready to hit the road again tomorrow! Picked up RoVer from the dealer last week. They were able to fix one item, troubleshoot a few others, and they ordered parts to replace/repair the dash. We figured any parts would take months to come in (since there...
Welcome to my blog where I’ll be sharing our adventures as we travel the US in our motorhome, RoVer! Stories will be about our life in the RV, as well as what we see and experience as we travel the country. Since I love to take pictures, I’ll be...
