We had an early lunch at the RV and then headed out in the car to explore some neighborhoods in DC. We ended up at the Navy Yards, near Nationals Baseball Stadium, and took a nice walk along the water there.
Then we headed over to the Capitol Hill neighborhood to visit Capitol Hill Books (one of the few remaining independent bookstores; they have a great twitter account!) and Eastern Market. Love checking out the variety of architecture on all the homes, and the pocket parks that seem to exist all over DC. Found a few more cherry trees here and there, too, plus one of several blossom benches decorated for the Cherry Blossom Festival!
